Welcome to this quarter’s blog series, Three Things Thursday!
I am here to share just THREE things that I am into right now to enhance my world as wife, mom and work from home business owner.
Feel free to reach out at any time if you have any questions about the information I share. I got this idea from the awesome newsletter I receive each week from Mama Natural. Such a great idea for busy women!
1. Thanksgiving Recipes
We have been hosting Thanksgiving for the last six or seven years. We switch up our menu every season, keeping a few traditional favorites, then trying out a few new recipes. Here is our menu from last year with links to some of the recipes. We are working on an addition to our home so this year we will not be hosting!
- Creamed spinach
- Lemon Parmesan Roasted Brussel Sprouts by The Pioneer Woman
- Honey Maple Roasted Carrots by Cafe Sucre Farine
- Sweet Potato Casserole by The Pioneer Woman
- Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes
- The Pioneer Woman Turkey Recipe and gravy too!

2. After School Tradition
This year I started a new tradition, once a week I make a homemade naughty treat for the kids to have when they get home from school. I see mom’s posting pictures of homemade brownies, rice krispie treats, cookies and more on instagram and I kept thinking “I should do that!” The reality that I work from home and don’t always have the extra time to make a healthy dinner PLUS an exciting after school treat is there. But to commit to it once a week is completely reasonable. Do you have a delicious baked treat you love to make for your family? Please email me the recipe! info@cardinalrulepress.com Thank you!

3. Anniversary Gift
I am working hard on a special anniversary gift for my husband. I am pretty sure he doesn’t read my blog weekly, so I am safe to share the idea with you. We follow the traditional and modern gift giving ideas. This year we are celebrating 12 years of marital bliss 🙂 One of the suggested gift themes is HOME DECOR. I saw this idea on the Bower Power Blog and knew I had to try it. You type up and print your wedding vows to be made into a piece of art! I can’t wait to see those words we spoke to each other before we officially became man and wife in our new addition.
