New Thanksgiving Tradition!-Maria shared a fun new tradition you can start for your Thanksgiving! #Thanksgiving #Tradition #Family #MariaDismondy

Hi everyone! It’s Mandy (mother of 2 – a 5-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl). I am blogging on Be the Difference, recapping some valuable tips from Empowering Kids With Character – The Show!

On November 21st, Maria shared a fun new tradition you can start for your Thanksgiving! You can watch the video here.

SUPPLIES:

  • White tablecloth
  • Sharpies

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Place tablecloth on table
  • Have your Thanksgiving guests sign their names on the tablecloth (so simple!)
    • You can even have them share a little more than their signature if you want (handprints, messages, etc.). Depends on how many years you want to keep just one tablecloth for this tradition.Have your Thanksgiving guests sign their names on the tablecloth (so simple!)

Maria got this idea from a Facebook post that linked to this story. She also shared that, when it was time for dessert, she put another tablecloth on top of the signed tablecloth, to help preserve the signatures (and prevent, hopefully) having to wash the signed tablecloth! I think this is such a special tradition and can be incorporated for any of those huge family/friend get togethers (Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter come to mind)! Are there any similar traditions you have?

Remember that Maria alternates these videos between her author page and the private Empowering Kids with Character page, which provides more ideas on the monthly theme and also support from fellow parents and educators!
