On June 14th, Maria shared some more fun ideas, using books, to continue the theme of PLAY! You can watch the full video here.
SUPPLIES:
- Books that encourage play, such as:
- Spot the Differences
- Highlights magazines
- Books that you sing (example: Nursery Ryhmes)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Have fun with your children by incorporating play through books!
While I never thought of using books for play, Maria is so right about this! My children LOVE to read and I normally think of this as “yay! We’ll sit quietly” time, ha! BUT, as Maria pointed out – we can use this time for play. I know that my son loves to do the Hide-and-Seek books yet and he’s almost 5. My daughter just turned 1 and she loves to do books that have flaps in them. All versions of play.
Maria was so brave and fun in this video – why? She sang a nursery rhyme!!!! On live video! I applaud her being so brave and having fun in this way. ?
