Hi everyone! I’m Mandy Bush and I am the executive assistant for Cardinal Rule Press (Maria’s publishing company). I am a mother of 2 (son and daughter) and I will be blogging on Be the Difference and will be recapping some valuable tips from Empowering Kids With Character – The Show!
- Some type of blocks
- Not Even a White Lie Pinocchio printable
- Print out cards that have lies/truth on them
- Read the card to child
- Ask them if the card is a lie or the truth
- If it’s a lie, have them place a block on the nose
This game is great for teaching children that even a “white lie” has consequences and can cause problems. It’s always important to tell the truth! You can also expand on this game, when discussing the truth and explain that they can tell the truth gently, so as not to hurt feelings. For example, one of the cards discusses that maybe mom’s dinner wasn’t so delicious BUT you followed up with telling her another meal she makes that you DO enjoy. You can help your children find ways to always tell the truth in love!
