My Review:
Author Michele Borba has spent years researching the topic of bullying and she has put her findings into this comprehensive guide for educators. The advice in this book is realistic and attainable, so that educators and other school professionals can put the steps into practice immediately. It’s disheartening to hear of programs that cost thousands of dollars to implement into a school, with the promises to reduce bullying and mean behavior. What about those buildings that can not afford it? I also am a huge fan of assemblies that promote kindness, but the action has to go beyond the one hour program in order to truly make a difference. Read about, learn and implement these 6 Rs to create the community you want to work and live in. Rules, Recognize, Report, Respond, Refuse, Replace.
