New Book Unboxing-The Fruit Salad Friend -

Hi everyone! I’m Mandy Bush and I am the online business manager for Cardinal Rule Press. I am a mother of 2 (son and daughter) and I will be blogging this month on Be the Difference, sharing some fun things with you from the past year and exciting event for the future too!

Today I am sharing a video of a new book unboxing that was posted on Maria Dismondy’s author Facebook page.

Maria did a live unboxing of her new book The Fruit Salad Friend book. These advance copies will be sent to Publisher’s Weekly, Booklist and other large national review companies along with educational influencers for their review.

The Fruit Salad Friend-Recipe for A True Friend -

The Fruit Salad Friend is a story about a little girl named Chloe. She’s a redhead and very cool. She has a lot of friendship issues in this story, similar to what children around the world are going through. Chloe is a problem-solver and, in the book, tries different strategies for self-regulation. The book also describes how Chloe notices her face is getting hot, which is a body alarm. She’s aware of this and uses different self-regulation strategies. The book is a great teaching tool for parents and teachers to use.

While the book is written by Maria Dismondy, the art is by Kathryn Selbert. Also included in the book is a page with 10 Tips to Boost Your Child’s Friendship Making Skills –  by Dr. Michele Borba – author of “Unselfie: Why Empathetic Kids Succeed in Our All-About-Me World”. Some really great tips are shared!

The Fruit Salad Friend will officially be available April 2018 (you can pre-order from Amazon here), but she’ll have copies available for school visits in March 2018.

At the end of the video, Maria shared that Cardinal Rule Press (her publishing company) is accepting submissions for children’s books to publish in 2019. Guidelines are given on the Cardinal Rule Press submissions page.
