Three Things Thursday December - mariadismondy.com

Welcome to this quarter’s blog series, Three Things Thursday!

I am here to share just THREE things that I am into right now to enhance my world as wife, mom and work from home business owner.

Feel free to reach out at any time if you have any questions about the information I share. I got this idea from the awesome newsletter I receive each week from Mama Natural. Such a great idea for busy women!

1. The Gift of an Experience

As you contemplate gifts to purchase and give your loved ones this month, consider an experience, rather than a material item. We did this recently for my parents. We took them with our family to a Detroit Tiger’s game. It was a Friday night, we picked them up in the good ol’ minivan and spent the next few hours riding rides, eating popcorn, hot dogs and peanuts, while watching our home team win a baseball game.

2. Book and Clothing Exchange

Around this time of year, my friends and I like to get together. In the past we’ve had a book and clothing exchange in lieu of getting each other gifts. Here’s how it works: everyone brings books (adults and/or children), clothing. shoes and jewelry they no longer want. Then you pick through it all and take home new treasures for yourself! Anything that is left behind gets donated to a local thrift shop.

3. Holiday Gifts for School Staff

We are forever grateful for all of the wonderful staff members that help make our children’s school experience safe and meaningful. Think about doing something small (remember it’s the gesture, not the cost of the gift ) for staff members who may go unnoticed like: bus drivers, lunch aids, playground supervisors, office staff, school nurses (do they even have them anymore?) student teachers, etc. Here is a link to my pinterest page with some simple gift ideas.
