Three Things Thursday November - mariadismondy.com

Welcome to this quarter’s blog series, Three Things Thursday!

I am here to share just THREE things that I am into right now to enhance my world as wife, mom and work from home business owner.

Feel free to reach out at any time if you have any questions about the information I share. I got this idea from the awesome newsletter I receive each week from Mama Natural. Such a great idea for busy women!

1. Donate Halloween Candy

Where? If you’re like me, you eat some of your child’s Halloween candy then you feel the need to get it out of the house or at least lessen the amount they have available to eat! In our home, we follow the Switch Witch tradition. We tell the children to keep a bowl to eat and donate the rest to the switch witch—basically put it out on the porch and we will exchange their candy for a small toy ($5-$10 limit) It’s a great compromise to their healthy teeth! https://opgrat.wordpress.com/2013/07/18/halloween-candy-for-the-troops/

2. MEMEs

These graphics going around with funny sayings on them brighten my day. Here is a current favorite!

3. Giving Back

We are approaching some of my favorite holidays because it’s all about paying gratitude. Think about what your family can do for others in the next two months. Instead of writing a check to a charity (which is really wonderful!) what actions can you take to make a difference? Including your children is bound to be a good learning lesson they will take with them through out their lives. Here are a few things we have done in the past: volunteer to sort food at a local food pantry, host a sandwich making party and donate those sandwiches to a local shelter, collect donations and sort them into Blessing Bags then donate them to a l homeless shelter and organize a group of us to visit a senior home and sing carols right before the holidays.
