Three Things Thursday October - mariadismondy.com

Welcome to this quarter’s blog series, Three Things Thursday!

I am here to share just THREE things that I am into right now to enhance my world as wife, mom and work from home business owner.

Feel free to reach out at any time if you have any questions about the information I share. I got this idea from the awesome newsletter I receive each week from Mama Natural. Such a great idea for busy women!

1. Heartwarming Video

I recently read Wildflower by Drew Barrymore. She talked about an emotional Simpsons episode about when Homer left an awful job to do what he loved, work at a bowling alley. Then they had a surprise third child and he had to go back to the job he hated to make ends meet for his family. This three minute portion of the episode is so sweet. Enjoy!

2. Controversial Book/Movie

I recently finished the Netflix Series called 13 Reasons Why. It was hard to watch but eye opening as a parent. A local parent and pediatrician shared her thoughts on it in this articles. http://ow.ly/6arX30ew2uj

3. Holiday Shopping

Don’t judge me! I started shopping for the holidays in September. I know that is a very senior citizen type of thing to do. But, it allows me to be very thoughtful when choosing gifts for those I love, budget monthly and alleviate anxiety I get from thinking about how much I need to do around that time of year. Here’s what I do: Purchase gifts, store them in one location, write down the item, cost and who it is going to on a form like this- LINK- https://www.pinterest.com/pin/155796468337083923/

This last part is key! My mom tells me she forgets all the little stuff she picks out to give people through out the year for their holiday gift. Try it out, you may just find it work really well for you too!
