About the Book-Going Places by Paul A. Reynolds
A go-cart contest inspires imagination to take flight in this picture book for creators of all ages, with art from New York Times bestselling illustrator Peter H. Reynolds.
It’s time for this year’s Going Places contest! Finally. Time to build a go-cart, race it—and win. Each kid grabs an identical kit, and scrambles to build.
Everyone but Maya. She sure doesn’t seem to be in a hurry…and that sure doesn’t look like anybody else’s go-cart!

What this book teaches-Adaptability
My review of the book:
This is a story about children who follow directions vs. children who use their creativity. There is teamwork in this story and we see that being part of a team can make us stronger. We can learn a lot when being part of team. We also see that looking outside of the box can teach us many important lessons. This about growth mindset.
