About the Book-Nerdy Birdy by Aaron Reynolds
Nerdy Birdy likes reading, video games, and reading about video games, which immediately disqualifies him for membership in the cool crowd.
One thing is clear: being a nerdy birdy is a lonely lifestyle.
When he’s at his lowest point, Nerdy Birdy meets a flock just like him. He has friends and discovers that there are far more nerdy birdies than cool birdies in the sky.

What this book teaches-Acceptance
My review of the book:
This is a story about being different, but not just being different. It’s a story whose characters are animals, but the animals are in different groups – there are nerdy birds and cool birds. I think that a lot of children can relate to how the nerdy birds are feeling. They are feeling left out and not a part of the group. This is a story about being true to one’s self and what really brings you joy in friendship. So if the cool kids don’t make you happy and feel loved and wanted, is it really worth it to be friends with those cool kids? This is a story of friendship and being true to one’s self.
