About the Book-The Little Linebacker by Stephen Tulloch and Maria Dismondy
Stephen is a little kid with big dreams of playing football. The odds are against him when he is tested and faced with challenges. This is a story of a boy who worked hard to defy the odds and become a leader.
What this book teaches-Perseverance
My review of the book:
It is a story about determination. This is actually a realistic fiction story based on Stephen Tulloch’s childhood and life and talks about the struggles he had – not being big enough for the little league football team, not being fast enough and not being focused enough. Each situation in this story gives examples on how he overcame these obstacles in order to make his dreams a reality. I love this story because it shows children that, with enough passion and determination, you can make something happen. Stephen came from a single-parent home where his mother did not have a lot of money and funds and they both worked really hard to get to where they are today.
