About the Book-Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch by Eileen Spinelli
One wintry day, a postman delivers a mysterious package with a big pink bow to a lonely man named Mr. Hatch.
“Somebody loves you,” the note says.
“Somebody loves me!” Mr. Hatch sings as he dusts his living room. “Somebody loves me!” Mr. Hatch whistles as he does his errands in town. “But who,” Mr. Hatch wonders, “could that somebody be?”
After some time, Mr. Hatch discovers just who his secret admirer is and, in doing so, enjoys the biggest surprise of his life!

What this book teaches-Community
My review of the book:
Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch by Eileen Spinelli – Thursday, November 17, 2016 As a teacher, I always read this book around Valentine’s Day because Mr. Hatch receives a large Valentine. The sad part of the story is that Mt. Hatch is a very lonely man and receives the valentine on accident. The first time I read this story, I cried because I was so sad and felt so much compassion and caring for Mr. Hatch. So this story is beautiful because it talks about the power of a community to care for someone else.
