About the Book-Chocolate Milk, Por Favor by Maria Dismondy

It’s Gabe’s first day of school in America, and he doesn’t speak English. This story shows how a simple act of kindness is worth more than a thousand words. Kindness really is a universal language.

What this book teaches-Diversity

My review of the book:

A story about diversity.  This story was inspired by a boy named Gabe. He was in my first grade classroom and could not speak English.  He became very successful, he learned that action speaks louder than words. Gabe saw children that were kind, helped him in this new environment. There is a link to a YouTube video where I interviewed Gabe who is now in high school.
