About the Book-Jacob’s New Dress by Sarah Hoffman
Jacob loves playing dress-up, when he can be anything he wants to be. Some kids at school say he can’t wear “girl” clothes, but Jacob wants to wear a dress to school. Can he convince his parents to let him wear what he wants? This heartwarming story speaks to the unique challenges faced by boys who don’t identify with traditional gender roles.

What this book teaches-Acceptance & Self-Esteem
My review of the book:
This story teaches acceptance and talks about self-esteem. Jacob loves to get dressed up . He’s a young boy that gets teased because he wears dresses but has the confidence to wear his new dress to school. It’s important for children to understand that being yourself is most important.
