About the Book-Do Unto Otters- A Book About Manners by Laurie Keller
“Do not do to others that which would anger you if others did it to you.”―Socrates (the Greek philosopher), circa 470-399 B.C.
Mr. Rabbit’s new neighbors are Otters.
OTTERS!
But he doesn’t know anything about otters. Will they get along? Will they be friends?
Just treat otters the same way you’d like them to treat you, advises Mr. Owl.

What this book teaches-Manners and Respect
My review of the book: This book WILL appeal to children and make them laugh! At the same time, it is reinforcing the VERY important Golden Rule! I believe it is so beneficial to teach and model the Golden Rule to children at an early age. Instead of constantly lecturing them about it, how about picking up this book and reading it during a snuggly bedtime read aloud?
