It’s Christmas time at Happy Skies Farm! Tillus the worm, Big Red, Sammy and the rest of the team are excited to celebrate the season. But Casey the farmer is busy working: feeding animals, repairing fences and planning for the year ahead. With so much to do, Casey wonders if she’ll have time to prepare for the holidays. That’s when Tillus and the team unite to make this Christmas extra special for their busy friend.

This book is filled with colorful action photographs, fun illustrations and a cast of cartoon equipment characters.

My Review: I was particularly drawn to this book because of the bright red tractor on the front cover. We are all about trucks, cars and any large vehicle that makes noise over at the Dismondy home!

The story is about a farmer which is a GIRL (love that) named Casey. Casey has a cold on the day before Christmas but she is very busy and has work to do on the Happy Skies Farm. She has such drive and work ethic. I think it’s good for children to see that she’s trying to take care of her responsibilities even though she’s under the weather.

While Casey takes a nap after her chores, her farm friends (the tractors and other farm vehicles) gather together and make a plan to get the farm decorated and in order for Christmas. Casey wakes up and is shocked at the kindness of her friends.

A sweet message with diversity in it’s characters! I also should note the illustrations are vivid and creative. The book binding and materials are high quality and will last a lifetime.
