Have you been following my Friday’s Author highlights? If not, no worries! Here are the last few weeks of authors mentioned:
I reviewed Kelly and Trudy’s books via my business Facebook page so you will have to scroll to the beginning of May to read these.
This week I want to introduce you to one of our ultimate favorite authors, Todd Parr. First, I should tell you my favorite thing about Todd. When I was a teacher, my class did an author study each month and we would end by writing the author a letter. I don’t think any authors wrote handwritten notes but sometimes we would get excited about receiving a generic letter from one of our mentor authors. Not TODD–he wrote us a letter that was personalized and handwritten. I have so much respect for his response to a classroom of little fans. This is why, as an author myself now, I write every. single. fan. back!
Todd writes SILLY, BRIGHT and CHEERFUL books. They empower children with messages like “It’s okay to be different” and “It’s okay to make mistakes” Get these books on your family bookshelf. You will NOT be disappointed!
