Carry On, Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton was a quick read that kept me engaged page after page. Glennon is a popular blogger over at her site Momastery. She writes on life as mother of three from a very real, honest perspective. I haven’t been a huge follower of her blog. But when her book continued to pop up in the suggested books area of my Amazon page, I saw it as a sign and bought myself a copy.

Carry On, Warrior is a book that shares the struggles Glennon has has as a mother and a recovering alcoholic. She will make you laugh and make you cry. I loved her writing style. I think it’s a great book for moms to read to remind themselves that the job of being a mother is hard. But as women, we can do hard things. In the words of Glennon herself, Love Wins.

My favorite quote from the book that is a quote from Maya Angelou

I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.”
