As I sit down to write this, I am thinking about three important friends of mine. Two of which I have never met in person but they have become virtual buddies of mine. Something these three people have in common is they have super important roles in schools, they are school counselors.

First there is Kurt David, not only is he a school counselor but he is an inspiring author mentor of mine as well! Kurt has been super supportive as I ventured out on my own on this journey as a writer.

Then there is the infamous, Barbara Gruner. Barbara is my go to girl when it comes to character education. She is a character coach (check out the last page in The Potato Chip Champ, she wrote an excellent piece for families on teaching character in the home) and a generous person all around!

And finally, last but certainly not least, there’s Mrs. K. Mrs. K joined my virtual blog tour this year and works out in Iowa. I love that she wants me to come to her small town to visit with her students. I hope that one day a trip to see her and Barbara will be made possible!

Mrs. K. posted a great little ditty she wrote. I think this would be fantastic for teachers to share with their staff and students, maybe through the school announcements. Thank you, all three of you for the hard work you do, day in and day out, to work with our children, helping them feel better about themselves!
