A few years ago, Dave and I watched a movie called Fireproof. It was on tonight. It’s sad but so true. It’s about the ups and downs in a couple’s marriage, and finding the strength to save it. I like that it’s a reminder of what love is. It’s a faith based movie, and I am finding a lot of strength in my faith these days through my MOPS group, volunteering and through the inspiring services we’ve attended at our church.

Check out this review of the book Love Warrior, the story of one couple that provides lessons in healing possible for any marriage

When we were out for our anniversary, the waiter approached us and told us someone wanted to buy us a bottle of wine. At the end of dinner, the waitstaff brought us a slice of cheesecake with a firecracker in it! But we didn’t order any dessert? ANOTHER person wanted to buy us dessert. The waiter said we must be pretty special people to have two different people call up to the restaurant to treat us. It was such a super sweet gesture. Turns out it was my sister and friend Meg who did it and didn’t know the other person called either! We are still smiling at their kindness. It’s proof that Random Acts of Kindness will come back to you!
