The stars at night, are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas!

I had the pleasure of Skyping with my blogger buddy Barbara and some of her students yesterday. Barbara had four girls over to make Pink Tiara Cookies! It was really sweet to meet them and answer their questions. I had three favorite parts of the visit: 1. Seeing the sun shining bright in Barbara’s backyard. 2. Seeing the girls smile (complete with pink and purple frosted cookies in hand) and 3. When they presented me with a special Texas shaped cookie for me (virtually!)

Barbara has been someone I’ve looked up to since I started blogging. I am not even sure how I got we originally got in touch but she introduced me to a number of amazing bloggers in our virtual community. She has been nothing but KIND to me and I am happy to announce that she is FEATURED in my newest book! Barbara is the Character Guru out there and she wrote a page in my book dedicated to parents. It’s information on how parents can teach their children character in the home. I am so happy to have you as a part of this project Barbara!

I read the quote below on Facebook this week. I loved it. It’s been a week filled with Kindness. In my fitness classes and on Facebook, I’ve challenged my friends to complete three random acts of kindness before Thanksgiving. In the first day of presenting this challenge, I had many responses, so many that over 300 acts of kindness should be taking place before the holiday!

Are you up for the challenge? Here are some ideas to get you started!

Call your parents and thank them, write a letter to your significant other and mail it to them at work, say hi to a stranger, pay for someone’s coffee, make a cake for dinner, babysit for a friend’s family, send your favorite teacher flowers, give a book you love to a friend, pick up the tab for a random table at a restaurant (anonymously) leave baked goods in the mailbox for your mail carrier, rake someone’s yard, make time, donate blood, give something awesome away on craig’s list, leave a few lottery tickets on the counter in a public bathroom with a nice note.

I dare you. Get out there and make a difference!
