This month’s character trait we are focusing on is Caring. How do you teach your children (at home or in the classroom) to be caring towards others? If you blog about it, please link up and share your ideas. Don’t forget to add my button to your blog post so readers can come back here for more ideas. You can share a book suggestion, video, lesson plan, family activity, etc. Share this linky party with your bloggin’ buddies. Let’s get loads of ideas going here and provide a resource for both parents and teacher to come back to and implement.
If you are just joining us for the first time, check out the past few months of character trait parties!
Caring: feeling or showing care and compassion
About once a week, I sit down with my daughter and we brainstorm people to send something special to. Whether it be for a special occasion like a birthday or a holiday or simply “just because.” We decorate paper, get creative, maybe send along a few pictures of the girls and of course, add some smelly stickers to the envelope. Who doesn’t love getting mail? Not only are you showing someone you care about them but you are also working with your child on their letter writing and literacy skills!
Please leave a comment below and tell us how you teach your children to care for others?
