Today’s stop on the blog tour? Fun in First Grade! What I like about this stop on the tour is that Jodi has included worksheets you can use with the book. Retelling is an important comprehension strategy so go ahead and print out the retelling chart to use with your children. I would say this chart is appropriate for ages 5-11. You can do the retelling orally with Kindergartners and have the first graders start writing in their answers. Don’t forget, you have another chance to win my newest book and a tiara cookie cutter by visitng Fun in First Grade!

Remember last week when I joined Things I Love Thursday? Well, I’m doing it again! Today I am loving my new lipstick and lipliner by Mac. Here’s a picture of the inspiration (I’m mildly embarassed) Kim Kardashain! I purchased a lip pencil in Oak and a lipstick in cream d’nude. Mac is by far my favorite line of lipsticks because they are moisturizing.

This next book in my giveaway has a wonderful message. Again, written by a local author in Michigan. Holly Skeleton has taken a beautiful message and put it into a timeless children’s book. Holly has some great information on her blog. Find out more on her website here. Please enter to win below!

About the Book: Perfect You is a story to encourage children to discover their talents so that they can live a life of purpose and happiness. In this letter from God, children will discover He has blessed them with gifts and talents that make them unique and able to serve the world in a very special way! Could the gift of bravery make you a police officer or firefighter, or could your compassion help you to be a great doctor or teacher? The possibilities are endless!
